13 March 2010 : Touristy in Bangaluru

Well we arrived early friday morning and used the rest of the day to settle in and check out their famous MG Road. The next day we had the opportunity to go to their well known Lalbagh Gardens where flower shows are hosted twice annually. It was a nice laid back garden with many trees, flowers and secret lovers hiding under trees :) Cute!
A National Geographical momument.

After the gardens our (paid by the mile) hotel chauffer drove us pass the Parlimentary house and then we were driven to two shops where we had no intention of going to. At both shops we were constantly forced to buy something special (almost everything the salesman took was something special... makes you wonder what really is special).. And i was forced to try on so many things and there is a picture of me wearing a sari...
The old Parlimentary House. There are over a 1000 rooms here.
The Palace
That was the salesman who wanted to buy buy buy... While all we wanted to do was go to the park. Apparently drives bring tourists to such shops cause if we buy something he gets commission. So yeaps.....

  1. Nice pictures! The park looks lovely (we have the same pinkish flowers/trees here in Kuwait as well). And the sari suits you - maybe you should get one :)

  2. Oh and try and ask Janus what it was like in Bangkok - we did our fair share of 'we-just-want-to-go-to-this-bloody-place' followed by 'oh-but-first-have-a-look-here' from the tuc tuc drivers... soooo annoying! Maybe you should buy your own rickshaw there :)))
